Cowboy Tactics
Just got this facebook message through, this event is going to be sick and it's tonight, 7pm at the Rhythm Factory near Aldgate...
"...and so the curtain rises
Cowboy Tactics:101 - Israel/Palestine - From the River to the Sea...
This is the final mailout to remind you that tomorrow is the launch for CT:101...it's been emotional, we've crossed nations, brought back stories, found new friends and enlightened fresh minds...and that's even before the first ever night...
You've seen the words, you've heard facts - but there's more to these stories than ink on paper, and the rhetoric of television pundits...
We're bringing you testimony - we're bringing you those who bore true witness, who will bring flesh and blood to the headlines that wash around in your mind as you turn the channel over from the news to 'Home & Away'...
But we also bring you music, light and positivity - there is a way, for resistance begins at home...
We will break down the walls of bigotry, we will demand justice for all those wronged by war, and we'll have smiles in our hearts as we do it, and the open palm of friendship and diplomacy extended to all who would take it....
Namaste, Salaam, Shalom, Peace

Take Aim... at climate change
"why should i care whats going there/why does ice and wildlife mean to my life" she asks
"See thats the catch,, its not all that obvious but changes in the north and south is gonna have an affect on all of us" the rapper replied.
This reminds me of the Black Eyed Peas song 'where is the love?' when it first come out- As annoying as it eventually became it got the message out to a mass audience that this world was, and still is in a messed up state. This time however it is climate change that is in the firing line- a subject that by large hasn't been tackled by the Hip Hoppers of this world yet.
But as actions by Direct Action groups Plane Stupid and Climate Rush will suggest, it is one of the main problems in the world today.
The eradiication of poverty in this world is insignificant if Climate Change is not taken seriously, because there wont be a Third world to worry about, there wont be any world!

Killer Coke
It's hard to imagine how we can be influencing a situation such as this in Columbia, but I drink Coke, often without even thinking about it, my favourite drink is served with Coke, from a young age it has been ingrained into my routine.
But that usage is serving a company that is up to madness like this in Columbia. It doesn't stop there though,
India have been hit by Coke in the past, along with several other developing countries,
I also found this picture recently
CocaCola loved off the Nazis! whether it be advertising in Nazi propoganda, helping to fund the Nazi party or even inventing a nice new drink for them, in the form of FANTA. Thats right Fanta was made for the Nazis, what does that tell you about Coca Cola? its not the chreatest thing to have lurking around in your history.
check out www.killercoke.org for information about the situation in Columbia
cows with guns
It's a story and a song that sounds a bit stupid, but im sure theres a deeper meaning here, we're talking about the most passive of all animals- the cow rising up and fighting for their "Bovine Freedom"
Alright its tongue in cheek, but you can see a link between the institutional fuckery that a cow recieves, as a source of profit to "the Man" in this case McD's and BK and the same exploitation people recieve, in terms of the third world by the same type of multinational company. When you think about it, this whole exploitation thing which is pretty ingrained in our world can turn the most peaceful of cultures, or in this case creatures, causing conflict on a global scale. Or is that too deep?

One for all you football fans...
Talking of Donuts, I found this picture on an Arsenal football Blog, I had to look twice, as I wouldnt put this past the man who once posed for this picture:
Those of you who caught Rio Ferdinand plying his trade as a poor mans version of the little handed legend Jeremy Beadle on Sky TV's 'You got Merked!' will appreciate why Rio is generally seen as a bit of a tit,
just in case however heres a clip of the show... Rio merks 'wazza' or Wayne Rooney if you don't know him personally, its not every day you see one tit taking the mickey out of another slightly bigger tit, so appreciate it.
